IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY FOR A SENIOR LAWYER
An important opportunity for a Senior Lawyer to gain experience as a Principal Lawyer (Partnership & Regeneration) at the London Borough of Haringey for a minimum of 6 months. This position is open to lawyers in other authorities on a secondment basis and to internal applicants within Haringey.
As Principal Lawyer (Partnership & Regeneration) you will be the Council’s lead lawyer responsible for Contract, Planning and Property advice. You will be the strategic manager of the Contract, Planning and Property teams each of which has a Senior Lawyer.

Legal Expertise:

o experience of advising senior officers and elected Members on key property, contract, planning and procurement issues.

The salary scale is from £49,835 to £66,815 inclusive of LW and Consolidated allowance. (Pay award pending).
The Legal Services division consists of Corporate Legal Services, Registrars and Citizenship services and Local Land Charges. There are 103 staff in the division of which 85 are in Corporate Legal Services. There are 22 members of staff in the Contract, Planning and Property teams.

Legal Services is Lexcel, ISO 9001 and IIP compliant and has recently procured a new time recording and file management system called Visual Files. Legal Services manages a delegated budget with monthly billing of corporate clients.

An experienced practitioner, you will deal with all aspects of property law and

Legal Executives, you will demonstrate at least two years relevant experience
within a legal environment. Knowledge of planning and/or highways law would be
an advantage. We would also like to hear from unqualified candidates with the
relevant experience as the post could provide an excellent development
opportunity for the right candidate.
Practice Manager
£28,919 - £30,598 pa
You should have a relevant degree level or professional management or accounting qualification with experience of working in a supervisory role or other relevant experience.
Experience of budget monitoring/working on trading accounts is essential. Previous experience of managing a business support team, working in a local government legal environment and of LEXCEL accreditation is desirable, but not essential.
This position is available on a part-time basis.

Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBHFT).
Doncaster & Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (DBHFT) became one of the first NHS Foundation Trusts in 2004 and among the few that has achieved three stars every year after the Government introduced the star rating system. It is an extremely successful Trust, consistently appearing in the list of top 40 hospitals, and has an income of £271million. DBHFT employs approximately 6,000 staff and serves a population 410,000, providing comprehensive District General Hospital services from 5 sites in and around Doncaster.
To ensure continued professional governance arrangements, the Trust is looking for an exceptional individual to become its Trust Board Secretary. The role will be responsible for ensuring that the Trust complies with the relevant legislation and terms of authorisation issued by the Independent Regulator, Monitor as well as maintaining and developing procedures for the sound governance of the Trust. The Trust Board Secretary will make sure that meetings of the Board of Directors, Governing Body and identified committees run efficiently and effectively as well as providing appropriate support to the Governors and Directors.
The Trust is seeking somebody with senior experience operating in a large complex governance structure, with detailed knowledge of corporate governance legislation, best practice and risk management systems and is offering a salary of between £65,000 and £80,000 for this role.
