Legal & Democratic Services Manager
Ref: 0607
02 July 2010
Chelmsford Borough Council
£tbc

Chelmsford wants to recruit a successful planning and regeneration lawyer to become its next Legal and Democratic Services Manager.  Chelmsford Borough Council has ambitious plans for the regeneration and growth of the County Town of Essex and will enable a lawyer with a track record of success in delivering development projects to take their first steps into management.  The legal team is small but very well-regarded and with potential for an enthusiastic aspiring manager to develop its strengths in a supportive environment.  The post will be attractive to Principal Lawyers, with Planning and Regeneration expertise who want to make the step into management and working more closely with members through the elections and democratic processes.  This will keep them busy until the upturn comes.  The Monitoring Officer role is held elsewhere.

Details of the post will be available after 6/7: please alert your promising but frustrated Principal Planning  Lawyer to this opportunity.
