Leadership Excellence
It gives me great pleasure announce this year's ACSeS Conference, the theme of which is "Leadership Excellence" as it is important that ACSeS remains focussed on leadership issues in this new age of austerity and ensures service excellence of the departments / people that we manage or enter into partnerships with as part of 'local place'.
We are fortunate to have Professor John Stewart address the Conference as the keynote speaker, along with other big names from local government to discuss leadership issues on day one - including for the very first time the President of the law Society and the Chairman of the Bar. The second day focuses on what the future may hold in terms of key legal issues, including a workshop on "achieving success through positivity".
So it's a great programme and I am grateful to the Conference Team for their valuable contribution. I can also confirm that I am, as with ACSeS' First Leadership Summit, working on a "surprise event" at the end of the Conference for the first 20 delegates who book on to the Summit. The last surprise event was an exciting speed boat ride on the River Thames, with James Bond music! You will not, therefore, be disappointed with my 'new' surprise event, so book now as we have, once again pegged conference fees to previous rates.
