ACSeS Members Kirsty Cole (Newark & Sherwood),  Philip McCourt (Milton Keynes), Chris Brown (Broxtowe), Paul Cox (Rushcliffe),  Barbara Ding (East Northants) and Geoff Pook (Rutland)  together with ACSeS Policy and Development Officer Tony Kilner  were  the winning team in the MJ 2007 Legal Achievement Award sponsored by Eversheds.

The Award was for the Parish Council Toolkit which has been published by ACSeS and made freely available for use by Parish Councils and by Monitoring Officers throughout England.  The toolkit provides a readily available guide to the running of Parish Councils and helps ensure that governance arrangements are robust and effective.

The Award was presented to the team led by Kirsty Cole at the 2007 Awards ceremony on the 28 June hosted by Andrew Marr.
