Portfolio holders lead for the Association in their specialist areas of governance and law, providing a high level of expertise. A wide range of briefing material is cascaded to ACSeS members.
ACSeS provides authoritative responses to a range of government department and agency consultation documents as well as meeting departments and agencies to discuss matters in which the Association has a stake holding interest. ACSeS acknowledges the experience of retired members and provides a consultancy register.
A public record of ACSeS activity is compiled in the Association's annual report.

The annual reports of the President, Treasurer, Lead Officers and Executive Officer, together with reports from the branches are combined together as an Annual Report of the Association which is presented to the Annual General Meeting in the autumn.
